For engaging sessions that involve hands on child-led learning and nature exploration with Indigenous and non-Indigenous facilitators. Sharing traditional teachings, tools and other resources that are linked to natural themes or seasons. Students are offered complementary ways to view, appreciate, connect and root themselves in the land they are a part of. Children explore and learn from the natural world and community members around them. We bring and set up enticing experiences, tools and resources that are theme or season specific, in natural areas around your site. These can include: -Gardening, plant knowledge. We bring seed(lings), tools and materials to plant in your gardens! -Loose parts -Sharing circles -Tree tapping -Camp skills -Wildlife and habitat interpretation -Indigenous ceremony, storytelling, land based teachings -Art -Nature play.. and more! These programs are FREE. Approximately 1.5-2hrs in length. These could happen any time during the school year. Use the booking button to see available dates. If this looks like a fit for your group, you can book to request a date! We then send along availability, information and an official itinerary. * We can only accommodate one classroom per session but we encourage schools to book multiple sessions for different classrooms. |
